Bridget Brown
Fiber Artist
After moving to a Middleburg farm in early 2011 and acquiring a variety of fiber sheep, Bridget developed her skills as a spinner, weaver and needle felting artist. Several years ago she purchased a farm in Summit Point, WV, moved her flock of fiber sheep, and established a wool shop where she sells her paintings, yarn, roving and fleeces from her sheep. She utilizes all of her animals’ fiber to develop rich works of art and lovely spun yarn.
Bridget Brown graduated from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design’s Fine Art Program. After many years of working in mediums such as watercolor and pastels and enjoying a successful career as a graphic designer, she discovered the intriguing world of the fiber arts. She now teaches spinning, weaving and needle felting to others at various area locations.. She is a juried member of the Over the Mountain Studio Tour, VP of the Loudoun Valley Sheep Producer’s Association, and Chair of the Bluemont Fair’s Fiber Field. She is also chairs the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival’s Juried Fleece Sale.
