Intuitive Painting & Potpourri Designer
At the age of 5 I knew I was an artist! Little did I know back then that that little child WAS my most true, authentic, soulful artist self. I went on to receive a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in 1975. Several years later, in 1981, to support myself as an artist, I temporarily created a little business called The Herb Lady Potpourri Company. This “temporary” business had a life of its own, and to this day I’m still Herb Lady-ing! I continued to make art in the shadow of being an entrepreneur, but supporting my family and a having a successful business were my prime concerns for many years.
In 2013 I started exploring an intuitive painting practice with my teacher, Chris Zydel. I received my certification through the Wild Heart Teacher Training Program, taught by Chris in Bodega Bay, Calistoga, and Oakland, California. What I know from my own intuitive painting practice is that the more I paint from the voice of my intuition, the more intuition flows into my daily life and guides me. Choices I make are connected to my heart’s wishes, and my life has become a beautiful journey of following my own truth.
