Neil Super

Shepherdstown’s Neil Super is an award-winning wood turner who specializes in elegant items for kitchen and table, including bowls crafted from the wood of trees with historical or cultural significance, as well as sentimental value to his customers. His work is displayed for sale at various arts and craft galleries in West Virginia and Maryland, and he has recently begun turning architectural and furniture components for other craftsmen as well, on vintage industrial lathes he has restored. For a decade Neil has taught a monthly, comprehensive introductory wood turning class, both at the Woodcraft Store in Leesburg and his Charles Town studio at the Shenandoah Planing Mill.
